Do your drivers provide commentary?
If you have an English speaking group we can provide drivers with excellent commentary skills. In fact interacting with passengers is one of the most enjoyable aspects of our drivers work.
Do you operate in both islands?
Our base is in the South Island, however we travel throughout New Zealand when required.
What is included in the price?
All costs associated with operating the coach including driver’s wages and fuel. It is normal practice for the driver’s accommodation and meals to be provided by the client.
Goods and Services tax of 12.5% will be shown separately on your quote.
Do you hire coaches without drivers?
We have learned that it is best to have our skilled and experienced drivers in control of our coaches and therefore do not hire without drivers.
How far can we travel in one day?
Basically this is determined by the number of hours a driver can work in one day.
In a 24-hour period a driver can
Drive for 11 hours but must have a 30 minute break every 5 ½ hours.
Be on duty for 14 hours and have a continuous 9 hour break
Do you transport to ski fields
Because we aim to keep our vehicles to a very high standard we prefer to avoid the excessive wear and tear caused by this type of work.
When will the coach arrive for us?
The coach will arrive a minimum of 10 minutes prior to departure. When traffic is bad or parking difficult, you may find the coach at your departure point much earlier.
What will the weather be like?
In the summer we experience very mild temperatures, however in the winter the temperature can stay below 5° all day in the south. If coming here in the winter please bring some very warm clothing.
Do you allow alcohol consumption?
There are certain legal restrictions on drinking alcohol on board coaches, and therefore unless special arrangements have been made alcohol consumption is not allowed.
Is smoking allowed on board the coach?
In New Zealand it is illegal to smoke on board a tour coach.
